Last month I picked up a tablecloth I thought might be part of Russel Wright's offerings through Leacock. I was incorrect in that attribution, but with help from a few collector colleagues, was able to pin point the design as to being by Marion Dorn for the Simtex company.
Today, at the same store I found that cloth, I picked up a set of four napkins in a similar pattern. The colors are a perfect match for the Modern Primitives tablecloth, and the design is similar in execution if not exactly in the pattern. For that reason, I attribute these napkins as being the matching set for that cloth. The evidence supporting that attribution is tenuous, but I think that the similarities in pattern, color, and material are close enough to allow a guess. If any documentation is found regarding these specific pieces, I’d love to see it.
