This pair of 5 ounce American Modern sherbets was sly, and almost avoided being captured during my hunting trip this afternoon. I was on my way out of a thrift shop in Saint Paul, which I visit occasionally on the weekends, from an unsuccessful search. From time to time, I will find objects of interest buried amidst the rest of the junk shop detrius. This time I wasn't so fortunate. I left the shop, and headed back to my car. In doing so, however, passed the store's front window.
Out of the corner of my eye I spotted a familiar color: a chartreuse exactly the hue of the Russel Wright Old Morgantown glassware! I hurried back into the store and purchased my little find for forty cents, and was happy. Before checking out, I combed the rest of the racks again, to make sure I had really found it all. On my way out of the store, passing the window for a second time, I spotted another identical sherbet.
Afterwards, I decided I really ought to be more observant. I wonder how many other things I've missed?
