Creamers, along with their bigger bowl-shaped cousins in the Red Wing Town & Country line, are my favorite shapes of the whole setting. And it’s a well-published fact that I have a penchant towards anything Chartreuse.

This piece, along with that on the next page, was my first foray into Eva Zeisel's dinnerware lines. Town & Country has always intrigued me with its biomorphic shapes, but since it is so plentiful here in Minnesota (where it was manufactured) I have often disregarded its importance. This, obviously, is a horrible oversight to say the least!

From this point on, I promise not to continue in my ways. The shapes in Town & Country are whimsical in their topsy-turvy detailing, and though I will never purchase any from an antique store, I won’t ever hesitate to pick up pieces from the junk shops.

Found on June 04, 2004 in Richfield, MN.
