Why, you might ask, did I purchase nine Residential saucers this evening? That's a good question—one I’m not able to answer for even myself. You might remember last month, when I found around 30 pieces of Residential. Many saucers were included in that lot, and they were in virtually ever color produced. I definitely didn't need nine more.

What it all comes down to is the fact that collecting is a disease. I couldn't pass up even these Melmac saucers. One major factor was the price—less than thirty cents a piece. When I see a great piece of modern design for under a dollar, I can’t resist. C'mon ... the three dollars I spent on these would barely cover the cost of one of those fancy froufrou coffee drinks from your local Caribou franchise. That Frappucino is fleeting, it'd be gone in a minute or two. These saucers will last virtually forever. In a small way, that makes me happy—happier than any coffee drink could.
