Today, since I had a day off, I decided to do a quick round of shopping in the morning. It turned out to be a fruitful decision, as I found my very first piece of Russel Wright spun aluminum! For two dollars, I picked up a #139 bean pot and lid from the Informal Table Ware line.
I live in Minneapolis, and have never even seen a piece of RW spun aluminum in the local midcentury modern shops. It makes me wonder how this piece got here. Does anyone have any insight on retailers who carried the spun aluminum ware? I was under the impression that they were really only retailed in New York City. Was I mistaken?
