Provincial juice glasses
The Imperial Glass Company
USA, c. 1950
2.25 x 2.25 x 3.75"
Glass
Unsigned

In another instance of closely related products, these two small juice glasses have a slight resemblance to Ben Seibel's Pebble Beach glassware for Fostoria, plus the ground bottoms and color are reminiscent of early Russel Wright Pinch tumblers. While the Seibel connection isn't accurate, the ground bottoms are definitely indicative of an Imperial Glass production technique, and the color—documented as "Verde"—is exactly the same as Wright's Pinch color of the same name, which is often mistakenly described as Chartreuse.
