05-041. Paul McCobb
Contempri water pitcher
Jackson Internationale
USA, c. 1959
5.5 x 7.5 x 11"
Glazed ceramic
Manufacturer's mark and facsimile signature

I don't often find Paul McCobb pieces, so I couldn't pass up this Contempri water pitcher, even though it has a small chip on the lip. The Contempri line is filled with interesting shapes which remind me of Ben Seibel's dinnerware lines for Iroquois. As is so often the case with modern dinnerware designs, the undecorated white pieces like this one are most often the more attractive choice when compared to the decorated pieces from the same line.

Found on May 05, 2005 in Saint Paul, MN.
