Usually I would pass up a single salad fork. There are two exceptions to this guideline for making purchases, though: anything Russel Wright (obviously), and any Jens Quistgaard designs.
Variation V is definitely a high quality line. It is a solid design, weighty and well balances, and interesting to look at. This undecorated version, in my opinion, is the most modern of the variants from this Quistgaard line. I hope I can find enough to make a whole table setting some day!
