I don't often find Metlox pieces, but lately it seems like they've been showing up fairly often. The grouping I found today was fairly large, consisting of 7 dinner plates, two different sized serving platters, a baker, and these two pieces: the divided vegetable and covered butter dish.

In what seems to be the opposite of "buyer's remorse," I'm starting to think I should have purchased the whole lot instead of just the two pieces I thought were most interestingly shaped. I often experience this, especially during times when I feel I shouldn't be spending money on items I probably won't keep in my personal collection for any length of time. Fortunately Labor Day is only two days away, and I think I might head back to the store I left the other pieces at and see if I can't pick any of the rest up in their half off sale. If it is still there, I'll mark it up to fate and rescue it.
