05-105. Alexander Calder
Candy Cane lithograph
Bruce Teleky, publisher
USA, c. 1975
20.5 x 29"
Lithograph on paper
Signed in the plate

When my brother got married earlier this year I gave him and his new wife an Alexander Calder lithograph as a gift. They have always expressed an interest in art, and specifically asked me to help them build a small collection of works on paper. Calder lithographs are plenty and inexpensive, so it was a great place for them to get started. When I found this piece this afternoon, I couldn't pass it by. It was the perfect gift, and will look fantastic along with the first piece I gave to them. Now they just need one more—three makes a collection.

Found on September 03, 2005 in Saint Paul, MN.
