05-107. Russel Wright
American Modern dinner, salad, and bread & butter plates and gravy boat
Steubenville Pottery
USA, 1939
Various sizes
Glazed ceramic
Manufacturer's mark and facsimile signature

A little over a month ago I commented that I never find more than a single piece of American Modern dinnerware at a time in thrift shops. Today, of course, I proved myself wrong. This is actually one of the larger American Modern thrift finds I've had to date, and all of it is in remarkable condition. I'm particularly excited about the gravy boat, which seems to be getting harder to find as the years go on ... plus the fact that it is such a beautiful form!

Found on September 06, 2005 in Brooklyn Center, MN.
