Herman Miller introduced Charles and Ray Eames' Aluminum Group line of furniture in 1958. Building on the sleek lines they were already known for, the Aluminum Group exaggerated the curves of the furniture's base as much as the top surfaces of the pieces.
I've always been quite fond of the Aluminum Group, and this purchase was highly impulsive for me. I have no spare space for yet another piece of furniture, but couldn't stand leaving this poor little table alone and unappreciated in the thrift shop.
