05-117. Russel Wright
Plaid American Modern tablecloth
Leacock & Company
USA, c. 1951
42 x 50"
Spun rayon & cotton
Unsigned

My first Russel Wright Leacock cloth! Not only that, but it is in my favorite Wright color: chartreuse. The more city oriented aesthetic of Wright's Leacock cloths provide an interesting counterpoint to the country-ish feel of his cloths for Simtex, and appeals to my taste in particular.

Found on October 26, 2005 in Bloomington, MN.

Scott said: The name of the pattern according to Gary Maurer's in-depth article on Russel Wright tablecloths is simply "Plaid." Richards-Morganthou originally distributed the line as an accompaniment to RW's "American Modern" dinnerware. And my favorite Minneapolis spots are coming via email.
