There is one thrift shop in my area that consistently turns up great midcentury pieces. On virtually every trip to this shop at least one good modern design can be spotted, and the prices tend to be the lowest in the cities (as a sidenote, these three pieces cost under fifty cents all together). Two days ago I found five Charcoal Casual China pieces at this store, the best being a gumbo. Now today on my return, three pieces in Sugar White can be added to my collection.

It is strange that the two teacups I found today are the same color, but one is the original molding and the other is the later redesign. This, along with the fact that they were in different locations within the store, tells me that they possibly arrived as separate donations. If that is the case I should definitely start trying to visit this store more often.

And no, I won't tell you which store I am speaking of. Yet, at least. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out, though ... time to get to sleuthing!
