Wright's Home Decorator line is simply an informal variant of his earlier Residential Melmac dinnerware. Where Residential provided interest with the material, Home Decorator attempted to provide interest through decoration. The Residential colors are phenomenal. In my opinion, the Home Decorator designs are somewhat uninspired.
Even though, I brought this small stack of dinner and salad plates up to the checkout today intending to make a purchase. When the cashier started to enter the sale into the cash register, however, the price was over twice the amount marked on the shelf. Because of this, along with the fact that all of the pieces were badly stained and utensil marked, I decided to pass them up at the last minute. Unfortunate, but not a bad decision I think.
If they are still on the shelf the next time I'm at this store, I might change my mind.
