06-032. Richard Galef
Ravenware coffee warmer
Raymor
USA, c. 1955
6.5 x 6.5 x 12"
Metal and glass
Unsigned

Apparently Ravenware encompasses more than just housewares, which were the only pieces I've seen before today. The "normal" fare of this one and only known series by Richard Galef includes magazine racks, trash vans, pencil holders, and other miscellaneous office and home supplies. This coffee warmer, however, brings this line of pierced metalware out of the office and into the kitchen. It makes me think that this relatively unknown line of houseware designs is much broader than I originally thought. I'm excited to see what else is out there still undocumented!

Found on April 01, 2006 in Richfield, MN.
