06-060. Vera Neumann
Scarf
The Vera Companies
USA, c. 1960
14 x 44"
Acetate
Manufacturer's label and facsimile signature

The second Vera scarf from today's outing dates a bit earlier than the green and purple example I wrote of previously. The ladybug symbol was included in the Vera logo from about 1955 to approximately the mid 1960s. During the earlier part of this era of production, Vera's name was written with a lower case "v." In about 1960, the "V" became a capital letter, which dates this piece between about 1960 to 1965.

Found on September 09, 2006 in St. Paul, MN.
