When it rains, it pours ... or so they say.

After almost a year of not finding any Casual China down here in central Illinois, today I'm coming home with my second great find in less than a week! Kate had a meeting in downtown Champaign early this evening, so I picked her up at her office and we drove together to the area she where was supposed to met her associate. I planned on doing a little window shopping while she met, and afterwards we were going to have dinner. Fortunately window shopping became straight-out money-changing-hands shopping when I spied this gorgeous set of Casual China salt and pepper shakers in Oyster Gray in an estate sale shop.

Oyster is a relatively rare color which before today was not represented in our collection. The shop had them marked as "Nutmeg," so they must have at least been trying to do their homework. With as little Oyster out there as there is, however, I'm sure they weren't able to accurately ascertain the true color name from pictures online. The shop also had a set in Avocado — incorrectly called "Chartreuse" — which I was tempted to buy for my "one of a color" salt and pepper shaker collection, since I also am missing a set in that hue. I may still go back and pick them up, but for now I'll be happy to bask in the glory of finding a great example in Oyster to display (and use!).
