07-039. Gordon Martz
M99 Herb Jars
Marshall Studios
USA, 1957
3 x 3 x 3.75"
Glazed ceramic
Hand signed

It's been quite a while since I've gone out "on the hunt," but finally I managed to sneak out for a few minutes today and picked up this pair of Marshall Studios herb jars. I am always drawn the Martz's shapes, and these jars are basically shortened versions my favorite Marshall Studios line of vases. Little pottery pieces like this are incredibly useful, and these are so beautifully designed I love to have them out for everyone to see. Now only if I could get my hands on some replacement cork stoppers so I can use them for their intended purpose. Does anyone know a good source? I would guesstimate that corks should measure about 1.75" in diameter at the bottom and 2" at the top, and be about an inch or so tall. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
