I decided to make one stop on my way home from lunch with Kate today. Naturally that happened to be at a thrift shop, where I picked up this great Russel Wright designed creamer.
I most often find Casual China in Sugar White and Ripe Apricot ... and sometimes in Charcoal, Lemon, or Nutmeg. The color palette Wright designed for the line is vast, but for some reason I most often only find these hues. Today, however, widened my normal horizons: this creamer is in Parsley. While not generally considered a rare color, I sure have a hard time finding it. In fact, I have found about the same number of pieces in Parsley as I have in Oyster, which is considered a much more uncommon color.
Now only if I could find the matching sugar bowl I could have a complete set. I guess another trip might be in order for tomorrow sometime.
Found on January 25, 2008 in Champaign, IL.
