Harry Laylon

Harry Laylon's career in industrial design began as a student of Gilbert Rhode at New York University. Laylon is primarily known by his work for Chase, and later for Sampson. His employment at Chase began in 1933, and by 1937 he was appointed Director of Design for the specialty products division. His tenure at Chase continued through 1940, and his portfolio includes at least 20% of the entire specialty line — more than any other Chase designer.
