Ruth Gerth

Along with her husband William, Ruth Gerth was one of the most influential Chase designers. She was known for her ability to reuse bits and pieces of old stock from Chase's storage bins and reimagine the shapes into some of the best selling and seminal modern pieces the company ever offered. Beyond Chase, Ruth designed lanterns for the R.E. Dietz company, while her husband designed for Oneida China.
