Yusuke Aida
(1931- )

After his graduation in 1956 from Chiba University in the City Planning Division, Yusuke Aida began is studies in ceramics under Ken Miyanohara. In 1961 he moved to the United States where he began teaching at the Boston Museum school as well as working under David Gil at Bennington Potters. During his 4 year tenure at Bennington Potters (and beyond), he created many award-winning designs. Ultimately he moved back to Japan and continues today to create stunning modernist architectural ceramic pieces.
