New Designer Series: Introducing Tony Paul

A while back I asked for you to let me know if there's any particular designers you thought I should cover here on Ars Longa. I'm still open to your suggestions, but a couple of you have already responded to my request. Keeping true to my word this is the first post in a series that will talk about the people you've brought to my attention. I've got to thank George for pointing me to this new website covering the work and life of Tony Paul. The site is being developed by Paul's granddaughter, so there should be some great primary research materials showing up there as time goes on. Now that I'm aware of his work, I'll start to keep an eye out for Tony Paul designs in the thrift stores I visit. There are some interesting forms in his portfolio, and I'm looking forward to learning more as I continue my research.

About the Archives ...

These news archives span back to Ars Longa's inception in August of 2004. Due to this longevity, many of the older posts may feature external links that have gone dead. Over time websites move pages and some even close shop altogether. I apologize for these inconsistencies, but in the interest in maintaining a full archive even entries whose links have expired will remain in place on Ars Longa.
