Last week I linked to a series of letterpress prints by Ophelia Chong. Through the wonders of the internet, Ophelia found that post and we have been chatting via email for the past few days about her work and our shared interest in modernist design. We have also had an opportunity to discuss our own work, and she let me know that she is starting to concentrate more on illustration as a means of supporting herself. If you are a designer or in need of illustrative work for the web, editorial, etc., I strongly suggest taking a closer look at her work yourself through her website (which I linked above), her blog, or the current feature on her in NY Arts Magazine. Her aesthetic is quite remarkable!
These news archives span back to Ars Longa's inception in August of 2004. Due to this longevity, many of the older posts may feature external links that have gone dead. Over time websites move pages and some even close shop altogether. I apologize for these inconsistencies, but in the interest in maintaining a full archive even entries whose links have expired will remain in place on Ars Longa.
