The Lindentree Blossoms Again05.07.08
A year or so ago Kate and I opened Lindentree Handicrafts, a shop hosted on Etsy — the online craft fair extraordinaire. We originally featured Kate's handmade jewelry, but that project languished and our shop has sat empty for quite a while ... until today. We've branched out with this iteration of the Lindentree Handicrafts shop, and Kate has decided to concentrate on selling vintage clothing patterns from the 1940's through 1970's. More patterns will be added soon, but one highlight right now is a vintage 1970's Butterick pattern by famed designer Betsey Johnson. Our offline stock is fairly substantial, too, so please keep checking back to the shop or feel free to let us know if you are looking for something specific. As always, the link to our shop lives permanently in the banner at the bottom of this page.

Brad said: Enjoyed looking at these patterns, which now seem kind of quaint. I do recall my mom making clothes like this for herself and my sister 30-35 years ago. Back then she had a lot of cloth shops to pick up the raw material. From what I remember the department stores in Miami all had cloth departments. I know that those are now long gone.
