Alvin Lustig's Early Books05.20.08
Airform Archives has posted an excellent article about Alvin Lustig's early book design. His work from the 1930's and 1940's is more complex than his later more well known designs, and seemingly takes influence from Prairie School architectural details while building constructions of pre-existing type ornaments and elements. Beautiful, extremely well thought out and produced, and exceedingly covetable!
