Roseville Pottery is one of those things that every collector knows about. Even if you don't have any for yourself, it is unfailingly found at antique shops across the country. And while we do have one piece, a pink 10-inch Foxglove vase that belonged to Kate's grandmother, it isn't something we actively collect as most of the patterns are not particularly Modern. There are, however, two notable exceptions: the popular Art Deco line called Futura; and Ben Seibel's art pottery masterpiece Raymor Modern Artware. While I personally covet Seibel's designs for Roseville, a recent online auction for a Roseville Futura "tank" vase in mottled orange and blue created quite a stir when it realized a staggering record price of $11,656.99. Impressive, indeed!

Thanks for sharing! that particular design "The Tank" is the holy grail for Futura collectors and probably Roseville collectors and Art Pottery collectors as a whole, i'am really not surprized by the final price however i'am abit surprised that it fetched that for an eBay auction that was a piece that should have been hammered at an International highest end Sotheby's style auction i'll bet it would have brought much more best, robert
