Strike Anywhere

Last month I was elated to find two Saul Bass designed matchbooks in the back room of a small town junk shop here in central Illinois. But can you imagine the excitement of finding a nearly complete set? Karen Horton of design:related can ... since last week she scored 35 of them (representing 14 of the 16 designs — there are lots more pictures at the previous link) at the Chelsea Flea Market! Like myself, Karen had been looking for these elusive pieces of ephemera for several years. So keep looking ... good design can strike anywhere!
